InfraRed Imaging Spectrograph 2 (IRIS2)

In Brief: IRIS2 provides imaging and spectroscopic modes over the wavelength range 0.9 - 2.5 microns. It is normally used with the f/8 top end, to deliver a 7.7' x 7.7' field of view at 0.45" per pixel.

Detector: 1024 x 1024 HgCd Te array detector with 18.5um x 18.5um pixels.
Focal Station: Mounted at Cassegrain focus with either f/8, f/15 or f/36 top end.
Image Scales: 0.45 arcsec/pixel at f/8
0.24 arcsec/pixel at f/15 (not yet commissioned)
0.10 arcsec/pixel at f/36 (not yet commissioned)
Spectral Resolution*: R~2400
